Bouncy tarmac or soft tarmac is a seamless, porous hard wearing surface that has been designed and specified to be installed around children’s play grounds.
It is constructed by mixing a base SBR rubber layer and a top layer of recycled EPDM rubber crumb, both with a PU binder and installed around the desired area. These areas include pathways, playgrounds, parks and play equipment areas. This rubberised playground surface safety flooring is tested to numerous BS standards and Soft Surfaces Ltd are CONSTRUCTIONLINE, API & CHAS accredited. The seamless surfacing is installed to different depths, to help to protect against the play equipment CFH, up to 3.0m, depending on the sub base.
