We are playground safe surfacing specialists and we have worked in places such as Maidstone, Canterbury, Bromley and Rochester. Wetpour is a EPDM recycled rubber crumb that is laid on top of an SBR base rubber. Both of these rubberised safe surfaces are mixed with a PU polyurethane binder and laid to relevant surfaces with a trowel. There are a number of different reasons as to why wetpour is frequently considered the best surface, especially for safety purposes in playgrounds and parks. Schools commonly choose to have wetpour installed to ensure a great surface to keep the children safe due to the wetpour being able to meet the BSEN 1177 standards and CFH (Critical Fall Height) values.
Expert Wetpour Providers
The wetpour is great for ensuring a range of different purposes are achieved. This includes areas such as safety, aesthetics and engagement. Children are able to have more fun outside whilst playing and socialising with friends and will return to the classroom completely revitalised after their break full of fresh air. This is much more likely to allow them to learn much more than usual and will therefore allow the teacher to do a better job of teaching their pupils. The wetpour is known to be a very safe surface on which the children will struggle to injure themselves on.
The surface meets a range of different safety requirements and is therefore great for protecting the pupils. In relation to aesthetics, the wetpour looks excellent and provides a school’s external facility with a good-looking, attractive external play area. In some cases, Ofsted examiners have even awarded extra marks to schools with these outdoor facilities due to the range of different benefits they offer.
Play Area Safety Flooring
The system is a porous, outdoor, hard wearing in – situ safety finish which provides protection from critical fall heights from children’s play equipment. Soft Tarmac or bouncy rubber surface can be installed to different thicknesses which give the product its fall height protection, and can be installed in areas such as parks, play areas, pathways and play equipment areas. We have also installed this type of product in areas such as Margate, Folkestone, Dover and Greenwich.
