The Resin Bound Rubber Crumb sports underlay is made with SBR rubber which is mixed with a polyurethane binder and is laid between 12 – 15mm depth onto a macadam bitmac sub base or 20-25mm onto a dynamic sub base.

The sports shockpad is designed to be a low maintenance, durable, life prolonging flexible layer and will prevent the 3G Artificial Pitches or Astroturf from movement. It will also provide some sub base levelling properties. The Resin Bound Rubber Crumb Matchpad is dependent on the type of project.
The specification and guidelines costs are dependent on the type surface, size and playing requirements. Typical sports that can be played onto an all Weather Pitch with a Resin Bound Installed Rubber Crumb Underlay include football, rugby, hockey and handball.
On smaller sports fields also known as MUGAs or multi use games areas courts then an elayer is normally installed directly to MOT stone however a europave shock pad onto a open textured porous macadam is always better but this needs to fit the funding / budget available.
