Long jump runways are made from a recycled EPDM rubber Polymeric surfacing, otherwise known as Tartan Surfacing. This tough, durable polymeric surface is designed to take a spike and to provide the user with a surface which is tough enough to have prolonged use for Long jump, triple jump and athletics.
Long jump runways or run ups are designed / specified to be a minimum of 45m long and a minimum width of 1.22m and this specification will comply with the IAAF. The long jump runway also has a long jump take off board installed as standard with the construction. This white, hardwood timber board has standard sizes / dimensions 1.22m long x 200mm (w) x 100mm (d). However, due to the different specifications and design limits of the relevant schools & sports clubs, we can design and specify different dimensions to suit the facility.
