Tennis Court Painting

Contact Us

The application of tennis court painting is popular in the UK as it provides non slip characteristics which enable the courts to be used in all weather conditions while still being safe for players. Professional tennis line markings can also be applied to the surface to ensure accurate scoring and good quality game play. Different types of coatings including porous acrylic paint and polyurethane paint are used for this process; the type of paint used depends on the specification of your tennis court surface. Once applied to a porous macadam or polymeric rubber sports surface, the paint system is fully porous and SUDS compliant, meaning that water can drain through it reducing the risk of waterlogging and flooding on the sports facility.

We’re able to complete this work for existing facilities or newly built surfaces so don’t hesitate to get in touch with us. Tennis Courts Colour Coating Costs

The costs and prices involved in applying tennis court colour coatings can vary depending on a range of factors including the dimensions and specification of your tennis surface, the location of your organisation and the type and colour of paint you require. Anti slip colour coatings can be applied to MUGAs and other sports surfaces including netball facilities at a number of establishments across the UK including schools, colleges, universities, leisure centres and sports clubs and a quote can be tailored to meet the requirements of each individual organisation.

It is important to keep your macadam surfacing well maintained through regular brushing and pressure washing to ensure that it stays in the best condition for as long as possible. This will help to maintain good performance and playing characteristics for the surface, as well as keeping the area safe and cutting costs by reducing the need for extra repairs and more tennis court painting in the future.

Cleaning and Repainting

Over time and without correct maintenance work, sport surfaces can become contaminated and damaged. This leads to a decline in the performance qualities and can make the facility unsafe for use. We recently carried out a project to thoroughly clean and repaint a sports court which could not be used as it was heavily contaminated with moss. In order to remove the moss, our team cleaned the macadam court with a pressure washer and specialist tennis court cleaning solution to blast away the dirt.

Once the area had been thoroughly cleaned, we then applied a new coating of acrylic non slip paint with green for the playing area and red around the perimeter for the runoff. Clear tennis line markings were painted in white to give an accurate and clear playing surface.

The tennis court painting costs can also vary depending on the type and amount of paint used. It’s important to make sure that you do checks on the specialist contractors to make sure they have been trading over 10 years, have decent credit facility and have several case studies of similar projects. This is because you want to make sure you are not using a tennis court construction company who might not be here in 6 months time and all warranties / guarantee is out of the window.
